Main Bus Services
The most important bus services for students in Würzburg:
Following bus services connect the University facilities at Hubland with the city center of Würzburg and are frequented by students:
- Line 10: "Sanderring – Hubland (Uni-Zentrum) – Campus Nord"
Bus 10 also goes to the new campus "Campus Nord" (formerly site of the Leighton Barracks). There are four stops ("Emil-Fischer-Straße", "Bibliothekszentrum", "Didaktik- und Sprachenzentrum" and "Oswald-Külpe-Weg"). The route to Campus Nord is serviced weekdays from about 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. Outside of these times, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays line 10 ends at the stop "Hubland/Mensa" and goes back to Sanderring.
- Line 14: "Busbahnhof – Am Hubland – Gerbrunn"
On its way to Gerbrunn bus 14 also passes through the campus at Hubland.
- Line 114: "Busbahnhof – Wittelsbacher Platz – Hubland (Uni Zentrum) – Fachhochschule"
Bus 114 goes from the main bus station (Busbahnhof and the city center to Hubland, passing through Wittelsbacher Platz).
- Line 214: "Busbahnhof – Hubland (Uni-Zentrum)"
This bus goes directly to Hubland (no service for Wittelsbacher Platz) and continues (via Zeppelinstr. and Trautenauer Str.) to the FHWS at Sanderheinrichsleitenweg.
Important note: Bus lines 114 and 214 do not operate during the Bavarian summer and winter vacation.
Following lines also access the campus at Hubland:
- Line 7: "Zellerau – Sanderring – Hubland / Universitätszentrum"
On weekdays, line 7 will now, coming from Zellerau, partly access the campus at Hubland (via Sanderring). On Saturdays, the line only operates between Zellerau and Sanderring. No service on Sundays.
- Line 34: "Heidingsfeld/Reuterstraße – Sanderring – Frauenland – Uni-Zentrum – Gerbrunn – Wöllriederhof – Lengfeld"
Line 34 connects the campus at Hubland as well as the university location Wittelsbacher Platz with some of the districts and the neighboring community of Gerbrunn. The line only operates from Monday through Friday every hour. The time table is coordinated with the lecture times at Hubland.
