This student residence is located about 400 m from the THWS Campus Ignaz Schön at Ignaz-Schön-Straße 11, about 700 m from THWS Campus Ledward at Konrad-Zuse-Straße 2 and Johann-Modler-Weg 2 and about 1,100 m from the THWS Campus Konrad Geiger (formerly Campus II) at Konrad-Geiger-Straße 2. There are good bus connections (bus stop "Florian-Geyer-Straße", lines 22, 23, 24, 25 and 29) directly in front of the door.

This student residence is usually not available for incoming full-time students and foreign students of the THWS i-campus project. This concerns e.g. the following courses:

• Robotics (B. Eng.)

This is not relevant to exchange students.

Persons who do not study at THWS will not be offered a room (as of 11.10.2021).

For the beginning of the winter semester 2023/2024, all rooms are rented or offered at the moment (as of October 18th).

The residential complex was built in 1964 and now offers a high living standard after its renovation in 2000. Students like living here, because it is close to the THWS at Ignaz-Schön-Straße, has a car park and a generous rooftop terrace. A supermarket is just around the corner.

In this residence a wired internet connection is provided by Hotzone GmbH. The costs for the flat rate are part of the utility cost payment that is contained in the rent.

This student residence currently provides the following types of housing:

• Single apartments
  The tenant lives alone in a private room and has a kitchenette and bathroom of her/his own.
• Single rooms in shared apartments for 3 persons
  The apartment is shared by three tenants. Each tenant has a private, lockable room. The kitchen and bathroom are used by all three tenants.

When we rent out single rooms in shared apartments, we do not take the gender of applicants into account. This means that flatshares can either be single sex or mixed sex. The same is true for the nationality, ethnic background, religion, ideology, disability, age and sexual identity of applicants.

The monthly rent of the rooms comprises a basic amount as well as an advance payment of utility charges. A deposit is to be paid. Changes in the rates are reserved. The amounts stated in the rental contract are applicable, whereas adjustments of rent at any time are possible - also before beginning of the contract and moving in.
